Hello, my name is Dana Hirschberg and welcome to Backyard BBQ, your go-to site for craft style barbecue rubs, recipes, and more.
Born and raised in Northern California my love for barbecue started much like all of us at a young age grilling burgers and dogs on a kettle style “Weber” grill in the backyard. Over the years I upgraded my tools, knowledge, and documented all my cooking success as well as failures “Amazing BBQ is the result of a lot of bad BBQ”. Now many years later I have mastered my backyard barbecuing and want to share the recipes with you. Additionally, as part of the journey, I have created quality rubs and seasonings that can be purchased here on this website to accompany the recipes.
